Candida Spit Test
Candidiasis is something that can affect people and they may not even know it. A overgrowth of this naturally occurring Candida albicans yeast, can usually begin in the digestive tract. The symptoms may lead to a diagnosis for something that isn't really your problem in many cases. That's why you can do a Candida spit test at home.

It's important here that I make a disclaimer about the Candida spit test. Do NOT use the Candida spit test as the only way to check to see if you have a Candida overgrowth as it is very unreliable at best. That being said, Dr. William Crook, a major authority in Candidiasis and yeast related illnesses, uses this method in his famous book, The Yeast Connection.

It's a very simple test that will only take a little bit of time to do. To do a spit test for Candida, it should be completed first thing in the morning. Get a water glass that is full of water, however not tap water. Before you place anything into your mouth you will need to spit into the glass.

Watch the glass for 15 minutes after you've spit into it, and see if any of the following happens:

1. Your saliva stays on top of the water, but long strands extend down into the water.
2. Your saliva may float to the bottom to and look cloudy.
3. Your saliva could stay suspended but you see specs floating in the water.

If any of these happen you most likely do have a problem with Candida over growth. Some symptoms that you may see include the following: headaches, diarrhea, constipation, trouble concentrating, jittery, depression, blurry vision, sinus inflammation, thrush, and fatigue. Those are only a few of the many symptoms that can be observed.

You may notice that your body doesn't always display the same symptoms from day to day even. Perhaps one day you feel your digestive system is all upset, while the next day you may have muscles pains and aches in your body. These are other signs that you may be suffering from Candida overgrowth.

Many doctors do not even know when you have Candida problems; they will diagnosis it as something else. In fact Candida can lead to many other health problems that will be diagnosed. They include such things as lupus, irritable bowel syndrome, Crohns, anxiety, and depression to name a few.

It's a tough problem that can take a while to solve if you have been seeing the wrong doctor. But seek out a home test and take it, do the spit test as well, and analyze the results. Then you should look to find a Candida doctor who will know how to help you cure your Candida. Or you can even try some home remedies for Candida. Both ways will work. Most importantly, you should be weary of taking any antibiotics once you've found that you have a Candida overgrowth.

Changing to a low carbohydrate diet will help tremendously in curing Candida. Also, you should start replenishing the good bacteria inside your body with probiotics. Either take acidophilus, or eat yogurt regularly. The use of natural antifungal medicine will help out in curing Candida as well. You can find these products online or at a local store. They include grapefruit seed extract, oregano, garlic, colloidal silver, and caprylic acid. Don't worry you will find relief once you know for sure that you have the problem. All it takes is properly educating yourself on this resilient organism in order to beat it.

Performing a Candida spit test is just one novel way to find out quickly how bad your Candidiasis is but, again, it should not be the only type of test that you perform to diagnose Candidiasis. Use the Candida spit test in conjunction with other forms of tests and, ideally, an experienced Candida doctor who can identify whether or not you are indeed suffering from Candidiasis.
